“Ford Pours Cold Water on VIIZR, Tradespeople Cry Foul!”

Ford Calls It Quits On VIIZR

As shocking as finding out you’re out of coffee on a Monday morning, Ford has joined the Let’s-Shut-Things-Down club by terminating VIIZR, a sprightly startup bent on making life easier for tradespeople everywhere.

Layoffs Roll In

Approximately 40 employees who worked for VIIZR now have the (not so) enviable task of updating their resumes. It appears that Ford’s grand ‘cutting-edge technology meets wrench-wielding mercenary’ scheme had a shorter lifespan than a goldfish.

VIIZR’s Brief Debut

VIIZR, like that one hit wonder band you can’t quite forget, was introduced in December 2021. Through a collaboration with Salesforce, it developed an app aimed at assisting tradesmen, from getting plumbers unstuck from their scheduling nightmares, locksmiths locking in their field appointments to electricians illuminating their customer management and invoicing process.

Hot Take:

It’s sad to see VIIZR leave so early. Who knows? Maybe if they stuck around, they might’ve come up with an app that helps mechanics figure out why car companies are so unpredictable. But hey, just as your plumber says, “Such is life!”
